Try our Critical Reload Sunshine Smoothie recipe. It's a much healthier food option and you'll have more energy to tackle all those things you have to get done everyday!

Critical Reload Sunshine Smoothie

Ingredients

1 cup Orange Sherbet

1 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen

1-1/3 cup pineapple chunks, fresh or canned in juice & drained

1-1/2 cups of water

3 Scoops Vanilla, Critical Reload

Cooking Directions
1. Combine first 3 ingredients (sherbet - pineapple) in a blender.
2. Add water and protein powder and blend until well mixed.

Serves: 2 smoothies

Ingredient Health Facts

  • Strawberries contain high amounts of antioxidants, in particular anthocyanins type 2 and ellagitannins. These pigments are responsible for strawberries' red color, as well as their powerful oxygen quenching capabilities.

    Antioxidants like anthocyanins have been shown by several studies to be effective in reducing risks of developing cancer, cardiovascular disease and inflammation-related diseases.

    There are studies proving the effect of reduction in cancer death risk, as well as protection from macular degeneration.

  • Pineapple contains a proteolytic enzyme bromelian, which helps in the digestion of protein.

    Pineapple is also a very good source of vitamin-C, offering excellent protection against free-radicals, substances that attack healthy cells and have been shown to lead to atherosclerosis, heart disease and certain cancers.

    Pineapple contains an excellent source of manganese, a mineral essential in some of the enzymes necessary for energy production.
